| Dear friend, This might be the most important newsletter you read this summer. Your kindness and generosity are bringing joy, healing, and hope to children who desperately need it. Because of you, children who have faced incredible challenges are now enjoying unforgettable experiences. They’ve taken theater trips to the Greenwich Arts Alliance and Fairfield University, explored the Pez Factory and Peabody Museum, learned to craft beautiful jewelry, and spent sunny days at Byram Pool and Tod’s Point Beach, building confidence in the water. These moments of joy and discovery are possible because of your generosity. Your kindness also ensures that our shelter is a beautiful, welcoming space. Thanks to volunteers from companies like Paramount, Genworth, and Black Rock, our garden flourishes, our therapeutic art space is organized, and our children’s clothing donations are thoughtfully sorted. KPMG employees delivered eighty backpacks filled with essential school supplies, ensuring that every child is ready for the school year ahead. And the new grill provided by Black Rock? It’s not just a grill – it’s a tool for teaching children how to prepare healthy, garden-fresh meals, and it’s creating moments of connection around outdoor cooking. But it’s not just about the activities – it’s about the healing that happens because of your compassion. Volunteers like Nicole Glor, who offers calming yoga sessions, Angie O’Brien, Remie Houston, and Jackie Chorney, who bring creativity to life with arts and crafts, Tom Stearly, who fills the days with fun and games, Betsy Schwartz, who brings the joy of pet therapy, Whitney Keyes, who guides children through peaceful meditation, and Amber Boissoneault, our gardener extraordinaire, who nurtures both the garden and the children’s spirits. Your support makes all of this possible. Summer isn’t over yet, and there are still many ways for you to get involved. Your continued generosity can make even more of a difference. Please join us for the upcoming events listed below and see the impact you can have firsthand. Your support is changing lives – thank you for making this summer a season of joy and healing for these children. Please contribute today to keep the magic of summer alive for these kids. Shari L.
