How to Donate Gifts of Stock
The simplest way to donate publicly-traded securities to Kids In Crisis is to have your broker transfer shares electronically to our brokerage account.
Once you have made the decision to transfer stock to Kids In Crisis, please notify Rick Reichert at (203) 622-6556 or rreichert@kidsincrisis.org. Rick will provide the broker information for the transfer.
Notifying us that the transfer is occurring is very important. It is the only way we can credit you for the donation, as your name does not transfer with the stock. The information we need is the stock name or ticker symbol, number of shares, and date you intend to donate the stock.
Kids In Crisis will sell the stock upon receipt and will report to you the value of the stock based on the selling price on the day that your stock donation is sold into Kids In Crisis’s account.
Please note: Kids In Crisis does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult your financial or tax advisor on the tax implications of your charitable gifts.
Please share with anyone else who might be interested in the work we do.
Thank you for your tax-deductible gift. Kids In Crisis, Inc. is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN 06-1027885
